Good deal on an Aglaonema

I was looking for a new plant that wouldn't break the bank. I found a nice Aglaonema Pictum Tricolor on their site, and the price was really fair. I also signed up for their newsletter and got a bit of money off my first order. It definitely felt like I got good value for what I paid.

My Monstera is thriving!

I bought a Monstera from Scott's Exotic Plants, and it was perfect when it arrived! It was packed so carefully, with a heat pack even though it wasn't super cold out, which I appreciated. The plant was bigger than I thought it would be, and the leaves are just beautiful. I had a small question about watering, and they answered my email super fast. I'm already planning my next purchase; I want one of their Philodendrons next. This place is great for unique plants!

Nice plant, slow delivery

I ordered an Anthurium Crystallinum. The plant itself arrived in good condition, well-packaged, and looked healthy. Shipping took about 7 days to get to me in Florida, which was a little longer than I hoped, but it wasn't a huge issue. Customer service was responsive when I asked about the tracking. Overall, a positive experience, but quicker shipping would make it even better.

anyone know if their plants come in pots, or if it's just bare root? trying to figure out if I need to order soil and pots separately.

J Jason R. 3 weeks ago
Depends on the plant. Most of the smaller stuff or rare seedlings come in nursery pots, but some of the bigger collector plants might be bare root or in a temporary substrate. The product description usually says.

I think they typically ship in their growing medium, like a small nursery pot or plug. Rarely bare root unless it's specified for a super delicate one. Better to have your own potting mix ready though, a good aroid mix is always a plus.

Hey all, thinking about grabbing a couple of those rare anthuriums. What's the deal with shipping them to, like, upstate New York in February? Will they freeze?

S Sam Anderson 4 days ago
Yeah, they use heat packs and insulated boxes during winter. I got a Monstera from them to Chicago last January and it was fine.

They do offer heat packs, but you usually gotta add them yourself at checkout. Make sure you do that! They also have some sort of live arrival guarantee, so if it does show up frozen, you should be covered, afaik.
